As part of his plans for a private residence in the idyllic German town of Plön, local architect Wolfgang Germann was searching for a sustainable façade made from natural material for an energy-optimised, timber-framed construction. The Urban cladding tile chosen for the project satisfied the ecological and technical criteria, while its light earth tones, the design of its joints and the play of light and shadow created by the overlapping elements made it the ideal solution for the planned colour concept.
