Urban cladding tiles were used in the construction of the New Vennesla Church for three reasons: firstly, since the cladding extends not just over the walls but the roofs too, it unites the towers and the lower parts of the building to create a harmonious whole. Secondly, the bright and slightly varied colouration of the tiles lends a warm and lively feel to the large, enclosed surfaces of this holy building. And finally, the naturally radiant appearance of the material truly makes the church sing as part of the fjord landscape.
